We are committed to protecting your privacy across all supported platforms, including our iOS Application (Apple App Store), Android Application (Google Play Store), and Web Application.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you access or use our services.
2. Information We Collect
To provide you with seamless networking, messaging, and music project collaboration, we collect the following types of information:
- Account & Profile Information: Full name, email address, profile picture (avatar), user role (e.g., singer, guitarist, pianist, producer), music credentials, bio, and portfolio links.
- Audio & Communication Data: Voice notes and audio messages recorded in chat, text messages, project updates, and customer support communications.
- Media Uploads: Photos, images, sample audio tracks, or documents uploaded to project boards or profile credentials.
- Location Data: Approximate or precise location (city/country) provided with your consent to connect you with local musicians nearby.
- Technical & Usage Data: Device model, operating system version (iOS/Android/Browser), IP address, app launch logs, crash reports, and push notification tokens.
3. Device Permissions
Depending on your operating system, Zamar App requests the following explicit runtime permissions:
iOS Android Microphone: Required only when you actively choose to record and send audio messages or voice clips within chat screens.
iOS Android Web Camera & Photo Library: Required to capture or select profile avatars, upload portfolio media, or attach files to music projects.
iOS Android Location Services: Used optionally to display distance and find nearby singers or instrumentalists.
iOS Android Notifications: Required to alert you of incoming audio messages, project updates, and gig requests.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following core purposes:
- To facilitate user discovery, artist matching, and music collaboration.
- To deliver real-time audio and text messaging between connected users.
- To process account upgrades, subscriptions, and financial dashboard metrics.
- To maintain system security, detect fraudulent activities, and resolve technical bugs.
- To send essential transactional notifications and product updates.
5. Third-Party Services
We work with trusted third-party service providers to power our application infrastructure. These services adhere to strict data security standards:
- Authentication & Database: Supabase (Encrypted storage and secure user authentication).
- Authentication Providers: Google Sign-In & Sign-in with Apple.
- Push Notifications: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) & Apple Push Notification service (APNs).
- Storage & Delivery: Secure Cloud Storage for encrypted user avatars and audio files.
We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third-party advertisers.
6. Data Retention & Account Deletion
We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide our services.
How to Delete Your Account: You can delete your account and all associated personal data at any time directly inside the Zamar App under Settings > Edit Profile > Delete Account, or by contacting our support team at support@zamarapp.com. Upon deletion request, all personal data, chat history, and uploaded media will be permanently deleted from our primary servers within 30 days.
7. Children's Privacy
Zamar App is intended for users who are at least 13 years of age (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal data without parental consent, please contact us immediately so we can purge the information.
